Tourists Behaving Badly
The last decade has seen multi-million euro investments into Mallorca’s touristy areas to get rid of bad stigma. Mainly the investment has gone into the grotty ‘night-life’ areas associated with most of the bad press. These areas have always been a small minority but have lowered the island’s reputation due to tourists behaving badly abroad. Previously run down and high rise accommodations have been re-vamped and transformed into 5 star accommodations. Some have been knocked down and re-built completely. Most of the areas affected are on Mallorca’s south coast.
But there are also beautiful towns, villages and rural areas in Mallorca often overlooked by holiday makers. Discover the best of Mallorca here with blogchoosemajorca.com!
